I’m on NBC News Daily TODAY — live from 30 Rock in NYC

Readers and friends,

In just an hour or so, I’ll be live on NBC News Daily, broadcasting from the NBC studio at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, in conversation with news anchor Vicky Nguyen.

Today is a meaningful date to be on: fifty years ago today, on July 7, 1976, women reported to the United States Military Academy at West Point for the first time as cadets. We’ll be talking about my book Raising Athena, A Mother and Daughter Attend West Point Thirty Years Apart and what’s changed — and what hasn’t — across the generation between my own time at West Point and my daughter Cara’s.

Author segments are short and this is broadcast LIVE across all time zones.

Watch live, expected around 12:30-12:45pm ET:

  • Free stream: nbcnews.com/watch with link here
  • Or tune in to your local NBC affiliate

I’d love for you to be watching. Thank you, as always, for being part of this journey with me.
