Before I left the house

Two days.

Until book launch.

I’m heading to West Point today for the Athena’s Arena Conference — fifty years of women at the federal service academies, gathered on the same ground where I graduated in 1991, where my daughter Cara graduated thirty years later.

The books arrived early. Friends posted and shared — they got their copies before I left the house.

That’s the thing about putting a book into the world. It starts moving before you’re ready.

I’ll be at West Point through Wednesday — talking, signing, and sitting with a story that took seven years to finish. Launch day is Tuesday, April 21.

It’s almost time.

More soon.
